How to Enter this Competition - It is as easy as "5, 6, 7, 8" - THERE IS NO QUALIFICATION OR RESTRICTION ENTRY IS OPEN TO EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO DANCE - Have a look at the section leaflet to see if you would like to dance in one or more of the "sections"
- Next, have a look
at the rules to see if you meet the criteria. If you have any
questions at this time you should talk to your instructor about your
concerns or call the ALDC management committee on (02) 9981 2778 and
they will assist you.
Secondly, Just follow the points below and return the forms to the ALDC management committee - CHECK TO MAKE SURE that you have the Registration, Sections and Payment forms. If you are intending to submit a choreographed dance in the competition you will need a "choreographic form" as well.
- FILL OUT THE REGISTRATION FORM by firstly ticking one or more boxes at the top of the page, followed by filling in all the contact details and then carefully reading the agreement and signing the appropriate area. If you are under 18 you will also need to have the signature of your parent or guardian as well.
- A registration form is only required to be filled in ONCE BY EACH PERSON participating in the ALDC.
- Separate the white copy from the pink copy and place this "Pink" copy with YOUR records and ensure that the white original is returned to the ALDC management committee.
- FILL OUT THE SECTION FORM by firstly placing either your Club / Group / Instructor’s or your own name at the top of this page.. The address details then need to be filled out in full as this is matched in our system.
- As you move down the form you will see the section number area. You need to enter the number of the section (NOT name of section) here. Then in the next column, enter the name of the dancer, or in the case of duo or trio’s the names of all dancers. For a small or large group just the name of the "Group" will be necessary. Be aware that every dancer in that group does need to be registered. In the next column place the number of dancers in this section (ie 1, 2, 3, 10 etc), and lastly multiply the number of dancers by the "entry fee" and amount in the "Total $ cost" .
- If you wish to compete in more that one section, just follow the steps 5 & 6 again. If the form becomes full and another form is required, on the 2nd form just rewrite the first line where it says "Club / group / individual" only, NO further contact information is required as both of these forms will be kept together.
- Place the total cost of this form in the total cost area, at the bottom of the page. This should make it easy for you to add up the amounts.

- As you move down the form you will see the 6 sections which you may enter.
- Go to the section number area and enter one of the six sections. Then the name of the dance. Then the name of the choreographer, if it is the same person who name is at the top of the form just write "As Above"
- If you wish to enter another dance, just follow the step 12 again. If the form becomes full and another form is required, on the 2nd form just rewrite the first line where it says "Club / group / individual" only, NO further contact information is required as both of these forms will be kept together.
- Place the total cost of this form in the total cost area, at the bottom of the page. This should make it easy for you to add up the amounts.

- Fill out the Payment form by firstly placing either your Club / Group / Instructor’s or your own name at the top of this page.. The address details then need to be filled out in full, as this is what will be placed on your receipt.
- Mark in the quantities and price for each item.( ie for example: you may have 5 registrations consisting of 1 ldaa member and 4 non-ldaa. All you do is place a "4" in the competitors quantity column and a "1" in the ldaa member quantity column, and write the amounts in the "Price" column.
Move down to the next area which is "Competition Entry" and repeat this process. Continue down the page to "choreography" etc filling in where needed. HERE, you can also purchase tickets for all the passes, socials, ball and programs. - Place the final totals at the bottom of the page. On the "Price" column, follow the arrow down and place the amount on the correct line, either for cheque and "tick the box" or the credit card and "tick the box".
- The credit card details need to be entered in full and must be correct or in the case of a cheque it needs to be made out to ALDC, just print the letters "ALDC"
- Separate the white copy from the pink copy and place this "Pink" copy with YOUR records and ensure that the white original is returned to the ALDC management committee.
