GEAR UP FOR TAMWORTH!!!

THE AUSTRALIAN LINE DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Every year in January linedancers of all ages and varying ability make the trek to Tamworth to compete in one of the world’s biggest linedance competitions,

The Australian Line Dance Championships.

The Championships were the brainchild of Joe McManamon and from its inception ten years ago, have been organized and run by him. Earlier this year The Line Dance Association of Australia Inc. (LDAA) was approached and the Championships offered for sale. After much debate, consideration and advice, LDAA has purchased the Championships and all they represent, in order to promote linedancing and secure its future for Australia’s line dancers

It is very reassuring to know that these Championships will have a strong and healthy future.

The LDAA committee consists of a small band of dedicated people who are now realizing just how much work goes on behind the scenes in the months leading up to the Championships. LDAA is determined that the Championships will be run fairly and impartially with knowledgeable and accredited judges and qualified support teams.

LDAA has been running for about 9 years. Check out this website and learn what LDAA can do for you.

If you have any enquiries you can phone LDAA on (02) 9981.2778 and speak to Sid or Lesley, LDAA’s Administration Officers who in most cases can resolve your queries on the spot.

The committee of LDAA has negotiated the best deals on insurance and licences for members and are currently compiling a Line Dance Instructor’s Course to give accreditation and professionalism to instructors.

All Committee members are very pro active in the promotion of linedance and knowledgeable in all aspects of linedance.

If you are a Line Dancer or a Line Dance Instructor and not a member of LDAA, you can gain great benefits by joining. Have a look at our membership page or phone Sid or Lesley. You’ll be very glad you did.
