The people of Tamworth have opened up their homes and are offering a unique opportunity to experience true country hospitality. Tamworth Showground
Tamworth Showground is only seven minutes from the CBD with public transport to all major venues available to visitors. The Tamworth P & A Association accepts bookings after 30 June 2002 for powered and un-powered camping and caravan sites for the 2003 Country Music Festival. Longyard Golf Course
The Longyard Golf Course, situated on Greg Norman Drive, offers 100 camping sites with limited power sites, full toilet and shower facilities, Clubhouse facilities – bar and food, champion quality golf course and is in close proximity to the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre and Longyard Hotel. Lake Keepit State Park

Peel Valley Campsites
Parry Shire is the rural council area surrounding Tamworth City Council. Various temporary camping grounds have been approved however the distance from the actual festival varies from about:
Attunga 20kms; Dungowan 20kms; Kootingal 20kms; Moonbi 25kms; Werris Creek 48kms and Woolbrook 75kms.
Tamworth Rugby Club – Camping
A private operator with a site at the Tamworth Rugby Club Cnr Marius & Macquarie Streets (3 blocks from the CBD). Caravan and camp sites with or without power. Four minutes walk to CBD. Woolaston Oval - North Tamworth Rugby League Club
Located in the Peel Street (Main Street) just four blocks from the CBD. Shopping Centre (including Supermarket) opposite.Gas showers, open 24 hours, unlimited hot water. Kootingal Country Music Camping Accommodation
Just 15 minutes north from Tamworth, Kootingal offers a centrally located camping ground with amenities which include powered sites, unpowered sites and motor home sites. All sites are within an easy stroll of restaurants, take-away food outlets, swimming pool, tennis courts, kids playgrounds, the friendly shopping village and free Australia Day Concert. Tamworth Junior Riding & Pony Club
The Tamworth Junior Riding & Pony Club offers powered and unpowered sites or dormitory style accommodation. This accommodation is just 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Tamworth in Bournes Lane just off Manilla Road. Clean amenities with complimentary refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, BBQ, regular garbage collection and a daily service to and from the City. St Nicholas Primary School
St Nicholas Primary School is located in leafy East Tamworth within easy walking distance to Peel Street and all Festival events and services. We have level sites for tent campers and large air-conditioned classrooms for up to 6 persons each. There is a modern, well equipped canteen and showers and toilets. Bookings are essential. Attunga Sports Ground
Located in Palmer Street, Attunga and only 10 minutes drive from Tamworth, the Attunga Sports Ground is situated in the friendly rural village of Attunga and is within walking distance of the Hotel and shops. Moonbi Recreation Ground
Located approximately 15 minutes from Tamworth, the Moonbi Recreation Ground in Gill Street, Moonbi offers toilet and shower facilities, horse facilities including stables and training areas. Set in a village and rural location, the Moonbi Recreation Ground is within walking distance of the general store. Accommodation for vans, campervans, tent sites and buses available. Dungowan Recreation Reserve
Located approximately 20 minutes from Tamworth and within walking distance of the Dungowan Tavern, the Dungowan Recreation Reserve offers accommodation for caravans, campervans, and tents. Facilities include power, toilets, showers and shade. The camping area fronts the Peel River which offers swimming and fishing. Accommodation during the Festival is always at a premium. When the entire City’s established camping facilities are full, Council makes camping areas available surrounding the sporting rounds adjacent to the Peel River and within easy walking distance of the City Centre.
In order to cover the cost for the provision of temporary services it is necessary to place a fee on the site.
The City’s Cricket, Baseball, Netball and Softball Associations do all they can to make you welcome by providing breakfasts and hot showers for a small charge.
Campsite fees will be notified on our web site in September 2002.
Camping along the Peel River will not be permitted until Friday, 10 January, 2003 and fees must be paid prior to the erection of tents and the placing of caravans etc. The facility will close midnight Monday 27 January, 2003. All sites must be vacated by 7.00am on Tuesday 28 January, 2003.
Wests Tent City Bed and Breakfast offers on-site accommodation in modern camping tents, located in a secure area close to West Tamworth League Club. The carpeted, fully screened 2-3 man tents are fitted with 12 volt lighting, beds and mattresses. Hot showers, toilets, BBQ and tea making facilities are provided. Due to the growth of the Festival, many visitors are now being accommodated in areas surrounding the Country Music Capital. Easy driving conditions and the provision, in some instances, of a daily bus service makes this form of accommodation an attractive alternative.
